On “Forget How to Forgive”, Lewis Knaggs turns grief into instruction. Written in the shadow of loss, the track traces the lessons learned in that shadow: how quickly time moves once you’ve watched it run out for someone else. There’s a clarity that follows, however, and it’s the message central to the song: live without waiting for anyone’s permission to start.
Knaggs recorded the track entirely on his own, capturing it in a single take with nothing but an acoustic guitar and his voice. There’s no studio polish standing between the listener and the moment it was written, making the immediacy of the song striking as it was caught exactly as it happened.
That intimacy Knaggs is known for hasn’t kept him out of bigger rooms. Knaggs was recently invited to perform on Red Bull’s stage at the Monaco Grand Prix, trading a bedroom take for one of motorsport’s loudest audiences.
Alongside the single, Knaggs is releasing an accompanying music video, with UK live dates and radio support planned in the months ahead.
