The Ingrid Land in the Scene with “Limerence”, A Debut Rooted in Nuanced Emotion and Defiant Artistry

The Ingrid are set to unveil their debut single, “Limerence”, an ever-expansive sonic landscape of intimate emotions, nuanced clarity, and self-acceptance.

The Ingrid’s story began in a Chichester rehearsal room, with three musicians chasing something that felt real. Fast forward to today, their debut single “Limerence” sparkles and glistens like a quiet reckoning. Built on layers of hazy guitars and introspective lyrics, the song journeys through self-sabotage, obsession, and acceptance. Lead singer Jess Charleslyn’s vocals cut through the dreamlike textures, grounding the song in the messy, human spaces between control and surrender.

“The song started with a simple idea I couldn’t shake,” Jess shares. “It was just a few lines and chords at first, but it became something else entirely once I brought it to the rehearsal room.” The band also welcomed legendary producer Greg Walsh (Kate Bush, Heaven 17, Pink Floyd), who brought the song to its final product,

For The Ingrid, artistry sits at the center of everything they do. With every release, they aim to challenge a system that too often forgets the artistry that drives it all. Leasing with defiant artistry and unapologetic experimentation, The Ingrid are set to represent a new kind of band – one defining what modern artistry can and should be.

Artist bio: Formed in Chichester while at university, The Ingrid is the collaboration of Jess Charleslyn (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Will Hornsblow (guitar), and Josh Platt (drums, vocals). Fusing emotional bite with melodic clarity, their sound bridges dream pop, shoegaze, and modern indie, evoking both intimacy and defiance. More than a band, The Ingrid also represents a growing network of contributors and collaborators who share a belief in fairness, creative freedom, and artistic integrity. The Ingrid remind us that where music leads, everything else follows.
