Nashville-based artist Sam Varga returns with ‘Long Way Back’, a haunting, emotionally charged single that explores the regret and clarity that come from staying too long in a place—or relationship—you were never meant to be.
Blending his emo-punk roots with stripped-back Americana and a touch of mandolin, Varga paints a vivid picture of heartbreak in hindsight. “It’s like missing your exit on the highway and watching it disappear in the rearview,” he says. “Eventually, you have to tear yourself away to save yourself.”
Following the release of his 2024 debut album ‘Shadow Work’, ‘Long Way Back’ sees Varga leaning further into his signature blend of alt-country grit and emo honesty, offering a powerful anthem for anyone who’s had to walk away in order to find themselves again.
