Liverpool-born singer-songwriter Kris James releases his highly anticipated new album Pixelated Heart on 24th September 2025 (LISTEN NOW) A deeply personal body of work, the record captures the highs and lows of love and life across 12 original songs, alongside two stripped-back acoustic versions of fan favourites “Forever Forever” and “The Fire”.
The album’s focus track, “Smashed My Own Record”, is a reflective and evocative anthem that explores disappointment, self-awareness, and resilience. Kris’s journey in music has been personal from the very start. Growing up in Liverpool, his early affinity for soul music, performing classics like Otis Redding’s Dock of the Bay, laid the foundation for his expressive songwriting. He spent his formative years honing his craft, driven by a vision to share his stories through music. Reflecting on his path, Kris recalls his parents’mixed reactions to his chosen career, from his father’s initial reluctance to his mother’s unwavering encouragement, summed up in her words: “If you can do that, you can do anything.”
