Written during the first winter of moving to the UK, ‘Lord Have Mercy’ captures a pivotal chapter in the lives of Mary Bragg Robinson (Mobile, Alabama) and Willow Robinson (England). Newly married yet stranded in the isolated countryside of Wales, the couple found themselves far from community, opportunity, or the dynamic creative life they longed for.
