Slovak singer-songwriter Alan Murin returns with his deeply personal new single “All I need is love”, an uplifting pop ballad about healing, resilience, and rediscovering what truly matters. Blending warm, radio-ready production with emotional honesty and an anthemic chorus, the track further cements Alan Murin’s reputation as one of Slovakia’s most distinctive and emotionally resonant contemporary artists.
Crafted during an intimate songwriting camp in Iceland, “All I Need Is Love” was born from an experience rooted in genuine human connection. Collaborating with Icelandic producer Halldór Gunnar Pálsson and songwriter Arnor Dan Arnarson, Alan found himself immediately drawn into an atmosphere of openness and vulnerability that shaped the song from its very first moments.
“The session started with a hug,” Alan recalls. “Within seconds of meeting, Arnor asked if he could hug me. It immediately broke down every wall in the room and created this safe space where we could talk honestly about life, family, struggles, and the things that keep us going.”
Those deeply personal conversations became the emotional foundation of the song. Reflections on hardship, personal growth, spirituality, and phrases passed down from loved ones slowly transformed into lyrics that feel both intimate and universal.
Musically, “All I need is love” embraces warmth and simplicity. Live piano performed by Halldór Gunnar Pálsson anchors the track, while much of the percussion comes from organic foley sounds, stomps, chair knocks, and the thud of a guitar case, giving the song a raw, human quality that mirrors its message of authenticity and comfort.
The single unfolds like a reassuring embrace, offering listeners a sense of calm and emotional reassurance in uncertain times. Alan describes the song as something written equally for children and for the “inner child” carried by every adult. “It’s like a little anthem of support or motivation,” he explains. “Just a song to hug you when you need the hug.”
Since emerging in 2019, Alan Murin has become one of Slovakia’s most successful and recognisable modern pop artists. Known for his sincere lyricism and polished contemporary sound, he has amassed millions of streams and views, topped IFPI charts, and collaborated with both leading Slovak artists and international names, including Raunii, IOVA, and Serban Cazan. His 2022 debut album Trueself, released independently through his own label, further established his reputation for emotional authenticity and creative independence.
