Futurecop! returns with “User Not Found”, a hypnotic new single that sits somewhere between euphoric electronica, fractured UK rhythms and dreamlike nostalgia. Built from shimmering synthesizers, drum machines, samples and layers of effects, the track captures the feeling of searching for something familiar in an increasingly digital world.
There’s an emotional tension at the heart of “User Not Found”: it feels simultaneously futuristic and nostalgic, organic and electronic, intimate and expansive. Glitching textures and restless percussion move beneath luminous synths, creating a soundscape that feels equally at home in a late-night city, an imagined film sequence or a half-remembered place.
For Futurecop!, the track marks another step into a new creative era.
Futurecop! is the electronic project of UK-born British-Bangladeshi producer Manzur Iqbal, founded in Manchester in 2007. Over nearly two decades, the project has developed a distinctive identity built around cinematic emotion, dreamlike synths and an instinct for blending electronic music with the emotional language of film, indie and alternative culture.
Since 2015, Futurecop! has amassed more than 16 million Spotify streams, building an international following through a catalogue spanning synth music, electronica and film-inspired soundscapes. The artist has also created official remixes for Kelly Clarkson, Foster The People and Cliff Martinez, including a remix connected to the 10th anniversary of the Drive soundtrack. Futurecop!’s music has appeared in productions including Roadies, Comet and I’m Totally Fine, while more recently Manzur Iqbal composed the original score for Ghost Punchers, directed by Kalani Hubbard.
The new Futurecop! material draws from the sounds that have shaped Manzur throughout his life; from UK garage and grime textures to ’90s electronica and ’80s synths, reimagined through contemporary production. Ambient music, broken rhythms, dream-pop emotion, glitch electronics and organic instrumentation all feed into the project’s evolving sound.
“User Not Found” reflects that intersection of past and present. Its title suggests a technological error, but beneath the digital language is something deeply human: the strange feeling of reaching for a memory, person or version of yourself that can no longer be found.
