Scottish singer-songwriter and disability advocate Daniel Leckerman returns with “Karma”, a hypnotic electro-pop track exploring connections that continue to shape us long after we think we have moved on.
Blending shimmering synths, driving bass, atmospheric production, and intimate lyricism, Daniel creates pop music that balances emotional vulnerability with late-night energy. “Karma” captures the feeling of looking back at the people, places, and versions of ourselves that once brought comfort, while learning to embrace the person we are becoming.
The track reflects on the idea that certain connections have a way of finding their way back into our lives when the time is right. Whether “you” represents a person, a place, or an earlier version of ourselves, “Karma” explores the complicated relationship between holding onto memories and allowing ourselves to move forward.
“This song is about nostalgia, comfort, and letting go of the past”, says Daniel.
A queer and disabled artist, Daniel Leckerman’s music is deeply connected to themes of identity, belonging, and human connection. Beyond his work as a singer-songwriter, Daniel is the founder of The Harmony Dialogue, a platform dedicated to improving accessibility and representation within the music industry. Through workshops, content creation and consultancy, he works to amplify disabled voices and create more inclusive spaces across music and live events.
Daniel’s advocacy work has earned recognition through his participation in Attitude is Everything’s Future Leaders programme (2025–26), while his involvement in Glasgow’s grassroots scene includes producing intimate live events with Sofar Sounds, supporting emerging artists and strengthening local creative communities.
With previous support from BBC Introducing for his release “Cold Feet”, Daniel continues to build a career that combines music, advocacy, and community. “Karma” marks the next chapter in an evolving artistic journey, bringing together emotional honesty, uplifting electronic production and a message about trusting that what truly belongs in our lives has a way of returning.
