Jesabel Falls Under the Spell of Paris on Romantic New Single ‘Men of Paris’

Singer-songwriter Jesabel falls under the spell of the French capital on her latest single ‘Men of Paris’, a dreamy, romantic slice of alternative pop inspired by three chance encounters that restored her faith in spontaneity, human connection and the possibility that old-fashioned romance isn’t quite dead yet.

Blending cinematic textures with intimate, autobiographical storytelling, ‘Men of Paris’ captures the unexpected beauty of fleeting connections. Written following Jesabel’s first extended stay in Paris in spring 2025, the track draws inspiration from three men she met along the way, each leaving an impression not through grand romantic gestures or hidden intentions, but through the simple pleasure of being present in the moment.

Having experienced the different ways men approach and pursue women in the United States, Jesabel found something refreshingly different in these Parisian encounters. There was no pressure, no expectation and no ulterior motive, just genuine conversation and shared moments that felt effortlessly romantic.
“Perhaps romanticism, spontaneity & chivalry aren’t dead yet,” Jesabel reflects. “A nod to the Men of Paris for being a breath of fresh air.”

The song’s journey from inspiration to recording became its own distinctly Parisian story. During that first visit, a serendipitous vinyl purchase led Jesabel to discover Motorbass Studios, a celebrated Parisian recording space with a history connected to icons including Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg. A year later, during her second stay in the city, she returned to record the vocals for ‘Men of Paris’ in the very studio she had stumbled upon.

Surrounded by the musical history and romantic atmosphere of the space, the experience brought the story full circle. Now returning to Paris for a third stay to release the single, Jesabel sees the entire journey as a three-part story: the encounters that inspired the song, the recording that brought it to life and the return that allows her to share it with the world.

That sense of serendipity runs throughout Jesabel’s artistic journey. Having overcome a lifelong fear of singing in her mid-twenties, she transformed a personal leap of faith into an international recording career. Splitting her time between Florida and Paris, she blends contemporary pop with soulful influences and cinematic songwriting, drawing on real experiences and the complicated emotions that make them memorable.

Her creative identity also extends beyond music. A former professional model who worked in Miami and Milan, appeared on the cover of SHAPE magazine in Germany and walked in Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Jesabel now runs a vintage boutique in Jacksonville, Florida. Her passion for fashion and storytelling continues through carefully curated Parisian collections, while her growing connection to France has also inspired her to study French and pursue ballet in both countries.

Across these different creative worlds, Jesabel remains drawn to the same qualities that inspired ‘Men of Paris’: authenticity, beauty in unexpected places and the stories that emerge when life is allowed to unfold naturally.

With ‘Men of Paris’, she transforms three seemingly ordinary encounters into a romantic portrait of a city where connection can still feel wonderfully uncomplicated. Dreamy, intimate and steeped in Parisian charm, ‘Men of Paris’ is a reminder that sometimes the most romantic moments are the ones that ask for nothing in return.
