Rebecca McDonnell Embraces Fearless Self-Confidence on New Indie Rock Single “Won’t Regret It A Bit”

Classically trained violinist, violist, producer, and songwriter Rebecca McDonnell returns with “Won’t Regret It A Bit”, an infectious indie rock anthem that celebrates confidence, independence and unapologetically living life on your own terms.

Known for combining her classical background with modern recording and production techniques, Rebecca occupies a rare space where technical precision meets instinctive songwriting. With a degree in Audio/Recording Technology, she takes an unusually hands-on approach to every release, serving as composer, producer, recording engineer, mixing engineer, mastering engineer, sound designer, lyricist, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist. Whether performing with orchestras in Canada, Florida, and the Northeastern United States or fronting bands in New York and Las Vegas, every chapter of her musical journey has contributed to the distinctive sound she creates today.

“Won’t Regret It A Bit” highlights that versatility. Built around a driving bass line that arrived before anything else, the song developed naturally as layers of guitar textures began answering the rhythm, creating a tight, energetic arrangement where every part serves the groove. Rather than overcomplicating the production, Rebecca leaned into simplicity, allowing the attitude of the performance to become the song’s defining feature.

“This song is an “I can do what I want when I want and you don’t have to like it” anthem. It represents strength and confidence in being yourself and loving every minute of it, no regrets..”, says Rebecca.

That spirit runs through every second of the single. Instead of seeking approval, “Won’t Regret It A Bit” celebrates self-belief, encouraging listeners to trust their instincts, embrace their individuality and stop apologising for taking up space.

With its memorable hooks, driving rhythm section, and fearless attitude, “Won’t Regret It A Bit” introduces another side of Rebecca McDonnell’s artistry: one that balances musicianship with infectious energy while proving that confidence can be just as compelling as technical virtuosity.
