Some tracks announce themselves politely. ‘Errant Nodes’ by Kazimi kicks the door in.
The Manchester duo of Tom Chapman and Jon Needham have called it their most electronic-leaning release yet, and it shows: synth-driven, punchy and built around big melodic hooks that stick. The joy in it is hard to miss. This is a track written to move a room, and it keeps up its momentum from start to finish.
What lifts it above a straight club cut is the band behind it. Kazimi are a genuine live act, and that sense of players pushing each other forward runs through the whole thing. If your playlists lean towards Daft Punk or The Prodigy and you’ve been waiting for something with a bit more musical bite, press play.
